These finalists will be invited to attend the SEED Finalists Coaching Day to be held on March 2, 2010 in Shanghai where they will receive hands-on coaching. Presentations and additional coaching will be provided by the organizers and others during this one-day event. The ChinBio® Investor Forum in Tianjin is a two-day event bringing together investors and early stage life science companies at the new Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biotechnology and Medicine (TJAB). 20 companies will present their technologies to over 200 attendees, including more than 50 VCs and investors from the US, Europe and China. ChinaBio® LLC and EBD Group will host the first ChinaBio® Partnering Forum in Shanghai to meet the needs of biotech and pharma companies as well as developers of early stage technology looking for funding and strategic partnerships. This event will bring together over 500 attendees from around world for two days of one-to-one partnering meetings using EBD Group’s acclaimed partneringONE™ online system. There will also be experts speaking on China’s life science industry, over 40 presentations on technologies from China, and posters from China’s top universities and institutes. The ChinaBio® Investor Forum, hosted by Hong Kong Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, exceeded all expectations for this first time event in Hong Kong. Over 220 attendees were present to see early stage biotechnology, diagnostics, medical device and services companies from the Pearl River Delta. There were also educational sessions on the state of the biotechnology industry and VC investment in China and Hong Kong from over 25 experts. Companies winning the Most Promising Company awards were Sinoasia (Guangzhou) and GeneHarbor (Hong Kong).
The first ChinaBio® Investor Forum held in Beijing was a huge success. It attracted nearly 200 attendees, 50 VCs and 20 presenting companies from throughout China. The winners of the Most Promising Company Awards were Protelight/BioAMPs and Fountain Medical. Our Investor Forums have become well known as "the place" to find early stage life science investment and partnering opportunities in China. Our previous presenting companies have raised over $60M from VCs and big pharma who have attended our events.

The BioBay Investor Forum 2008 in Suzhou hosted sixteen early stage biotechnology, diagnostics and services companies developing novel technologies and addressing unmet needs. Attendees had the opportunity to screen these companies in a rapid one and one-half day forum that also featured educational sessions on operating a global biotech company in China, and how to attract venture captial. VCs and industry executives and analysts also addressed the state of the biotechnology industry and VC investment in China.
This year's ChinaBio Investor Forum in Shanghai was a huge success. Over 270 attendees, including nearly 80 venture capitalists, saw 21 early stage companies present their business plans. There were also 24 VCs and industry executives speaking on the state of VC investment in China life sciences. The winners of the Most Promising Company Awards were Beyond Diagnostics and Allist Pharmaceuticals.
The ChinaBio® Investor Forum 2007 was our first Investor Forum held in China. There were over 150 attendees, including 50 venture capitalists, who saw 15 early stage companies present their business plans. There were also over 20 VCs and industry executives speaking on the state of VC investment in China life sciences. The winners of the Most Promising Company Awards were ChiralQuest and PegBio, both of which have raised VC funding as a result of presenting at the event..
