Building a Global Biotech Business in China

Hosted by: Morrison & Foerster
Date: November 4, 2009 (Wednesday)
Location: MOFO BJ Office
Time: 08:30 --- 12:00

Overview

You are invited to attend the “Building a Global Biotech Business in China” Executive Workshop as the guest of our hosts and sponsors: Morrison & Foerster, ChinaBio®Accelerator, and ChinaBio® Today.

This workshop addresses three critical topics for executives and investors building global biotech and life science companies in the current challenging financial climate:

  • Structuring A Global Life Science Company

How to structure your company to make it attractive to U.S. and China investors and provide rule-of-law and shareholder rights

  • Building A Global Patent Portfolio

How to secure China, U.S. and international patents that provide freedom to operate while blocking your competition

  • Attracting Investment Capital

How to position your company to attract investment from many of the private and government funding sources available in China as well as the U.S.

Who Should Attend

Join other key executives and managers of biotechnology and life science companies interested in learning how to leverage China to raise investment funds, develop new drugs or medical devices, and generate global intellectual property rights. Learn “how to do it” from our speakers who are all senior executives who have successfully put their principles into practice in the real world. Also meet other executives and managers from companies facing the same issues as you.

Raising Funding?  We are seeking companies to present to over 50 VCs at the BioBay Investor Forum in Tianjin, December 2-3 (www.CBIF2009-TJ.com). Prior presenting companies have raised over $100M US. Please contact Tom Wu at twu@ChinaBioLLC.com or +86 21 5137 0751 to arrange a meeting with ChinaBio representatives on November 4 after the ChinaBio Executive Workshop.
